Abstract
Students' personal finances must be managed well so as not to interfere with learning motivation. Likewise, good discipline will increase motivation to learn. This research consists of two independent variables, namely personal financial management (X1) and discipline (X2) and one dependent variable, namely student learning motivation (Y). This research uses a quantitative method based on a questionnaire on 57 students as respondents from a total of 66 students consisting of students in the management and accounting study program at STIE YAPAN Surabaya class of 2022. The results of this research show that the variable X1 has a Sig value. of 0.782 (> 0.05) which means that X1 has no effect on Y, while X2 has a Sig value. of 0.00 (< 0.05) which means there is an influence of X2 on Y. Simultaneously, the Sig. is 0.00 (< 0.05), so that both X1 and X2 have an effect on Y. Meanwhile, the magnitude of the influence of the variables X1 and Thus, it can be stated that X1 and Meanwhile, the magnitude of the influence of X1 and X2 on Y can be seen from the R square (coefficient of determination) of 0.365 or 36.5%.
