Abstract

ABSTRAK This study aims to determine the effect of participative leadership style and work commitment both simultaneously and partially to the performance of teachers. The sample in this research is 17 teachers of SMAN 2 Trenggalek. The variables in this research are participative leadership style and work commitment as independent variable and teacher work performance as dependent variable. Analytical techniques used are multiple linear regression, F test and t test. The result of the research with F test shows that the significance value 0.00 < 0,05, it shows that all independent variable of participant leadership style and work commitment simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher performance. From the test with t test is known that all independent variables participative leadership style and work commitment partially affect the work performance. This is evidenced by the t test that shows the significance value of all independent variables smaller than 0.05 that is 0,032 for the variable of participative leadership style and 0,017 for work commitment variable. From the test results with the t test can also be known that the variable that has a dominant influence on job performance is work commitment because it has a smaller significance value than the variable of leadership style participative.
